Research Interests

My research focuses on using an Aerodyne High-Resolution Aerosol Mass Spectrometer (AMS) to study the chemical evolution of organic aerosols formed in smog chamber studies. In particular I am interested in the aerosol uptake and particle phase reactions of glyoxal and the elemental composition of secondary organic aerosol from common SOA precursors. I am especially interested in the longer term aging of organic aerosol and the intercomparison of AMS data and data from other methods such as filter analysis, FTIR, and CIMS.
