Education: B.A. in Biophysics, Johns Hopkins University, 2006 Research Overview : My current work is focused on evaluating targeted nanoparticle delivery systems for small interfering RNA (siRNA) as therapeutics for kidney disease. This work involves understanding how properties of these nanoparticles (size, charge, targeting agents) affect their deliver to different regions of the kidney such as the glomerulus. I am also involved in work aimed at developing siRNA nanoparticles for the treatment of cancers. This work involves validation of new siRNA sequences against activating oncogenes in multiple cancer models and evaluation of different antibody targeting agents to enhance delivery of these nanoparticles to desired tumor regions.
